Creekside Arrow Cabin at Constellation Creek

I had a really peaceful stay at Constellation Creek with my dog. The accommodations were comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook some great meals, and it was incredibly quiet. I happened to be the only guest during my stay, which made it feel especially secluded. It was also really nice to find a comfortable place where I could bring my dog along for the trip. The biggest thing I’d want future guests to know is that I’d think of Constellation Creek as a comfortable home base for exploring the area rather than a destination with a lot to do on the property itself. The walk around the property and creek is nice but fairly short, and the yoga tent advertised on the website wasn’t there during my stay. My favorite parts of the trip were hiking and spending time at the beautiful alpine lakes, which were about a 45-minute drive each way. If you use their Field Guide for hiking, I’d also recommend using a trail map or navigation app. I followed the Bear Lakes guide and ended up hiking closer to six miles instead of the four I’d planned after missing a couple of trail junctions. Overall, it was a lovely, dog-friendly place to unplug, cook, enjoy the quiet, and come home to after a day exploring the mountains.

We went with our dog, we will definitely be back with our kids. What a special place in the world - close enough to Truckee to grab some essentials before driving further North and away from summer crowds.
